Shur Strike Gar Minnow Lure
This Shur Strike Gar Minnow Lure was a series GM and was first introduced in 1936, it skipped a few years and was back in production from 1939 through 1941. The Creek Chub Bait Company like the other antique lure makers branched out its normal lure line up and created a new company to sell a cheaper priced lure. Weighing in at 3/4 oz, this wooden torpedo shaped lure was called the Gar Minnow or GM, however was first introduced as a Style R in 1936. The Gar Minnow Lure can be found with tack or glass eyes both examples are shown below.

Shur Strike Gar Minnow
The first lure in the gallery is painted in a Florida pattern which they called, the Ghost. The lure featured unmarked front and rear props with a single forward line tie in front. The lure features three treble hooks secured by the typical cups to secure its prey. The lure and had a single belly weight to counteract the natural wood bouncy.
