Heddon Crackleback Antique Lure

The Heddon Crackleback Antique Lure was first introduced in 1971 and manufactured all the way to 1976. Heddon of Dowagiac Michigan created this little whale or dolphin look alike and assigned it a model series number 8000. The lure is made of plastic, measures 3 7/8″ in length and tops the charts at 3/8 oz.

The lure has painted eyes, 2T and uses a simple screw eye hardware. The Crackleback lure came in the standard white cello window box and can be found in roughly a dozen colors. The lure has a large diving bill to take it deep upon retrieval but yet buoyant and floats upon rest. The Crackleback can be easily identified with its name stenciled on the underside of its diving lip.
