ABOUT THE BOOK
Back after constant demand, and fully revised and expanded! It’s Don Wheeler’s Frog Lure Collector’s Guide, and it has been expanded by a full 30% (now coming in at a loaded 352 pages. It’s the largest color book we’ve ever done, or will ever likely do! All sections have been expanded, and a new section on fly rod frog lures has been added. This is really the final word when it comes to Frog Lures. Get yours while we still have them. We got a huge break on printing, or the book would have been much more expensive!

Frog lures have been around for as long as there have been artificial baits. Now, for the first time ever, author and noted frog lure collector Don Wheeler has brought together the definitive guide to all things frog. Wheeler covers the frog lure in all its types and styles, from fly rod to musky, and includes chapters on MISCELLANEOUS (BIG AND SMALL COMPANY), FLY ROD FROGS, UNKNOWN/FOLK ART FROGS, CONTEMPORARY FOLK ART FROGS, RELATED ITEMS, and FROG DISPLAYS. Every frog is shown in detailed photographs along with historical information and current price. From the ultra rare Hosmer to the ever popular Halik Frogs, this is the one book frog collectors have been waiting for since the hobby began. Includes an introduction and appreciation by legendary collector and author Dick Streater.

Sites & Social Media

http://www.joesoldlures.com

Where to begin; its hard to find or name a site where more folks have come to learn and
love the hobby from than Joe’s. From the early days of the internet, when the online piscatorial
collecting community was as organized as the wild west to the majority of colectors,
Joe’s has been a safe place for many to gather to test the waters.
Many of the collectors from yesteryear are still some of the friendly faces and familiar
names we see today. Joe & Liz Yates commitment to the hobby cannot be understated. The
amount of hours Joe has put in to maintain, organize and and provide a place for all to
enjoy, is unparralled. Speaking from experiance, I can say as someone who has been involved
in the propagation of the hobbies online presence it is a labor of love because the
amount of hours put in is never really fully appreciated or understood by most.
While many sites have come and gone, or undergone monsterours cosmetic facelifts and
technology upgrades, Joe’s for the most part has stayed the same. This simplistic approach
allows collectors to better expend your mental capacitiy on learning about the things we
love, rather than to learn new passwords or ways to log on and post pictures.
Lastly, I can honestly say that I have enjoyed the hobby better because of the people I have
met and found kinship with on Joe’s. If you think of the older show Cheer’s it illicits the
same type feeling where year after year, you can come to a place where everyone knows
your name.
