This is a Vintage Marquette MAR-100 Precision Built Antique Bait Casting Reel. PRECISIONBILT, a reel maker in Hollydale, CA they made 5 different reels, some having the see-thru-plastic side plates in the 1950s, The Mosquito and the Silver Moth were both fly reels, the Marquette Mod. Mar 100, a 100 yd. reel made of the see thru plastic and stainless steel. The MAR-100 features a rugged plastic side plate, a positive built in clutch which eliminates spinning of crank lever while casting, and weighs in at 8oz. The reel is in working order and free from any defects. .
