The lures construction was Tenite or plastic as all of the Obite family was. The Fish Obite measures 2 3/8″ in length and topping the charts at just under a 1/2 oz. The lure used 2 treble hooks to secure its catch with a simple pin style rigging. It used a non descriptive round diving lip at the front of which lies the lures single forward line tie. The lure was made in an astounding 25 different colors, many of which can be seen below.

The 1939 South Bend Catalog States: “The Bait That’s Right” the Fish Obite is one of the greatest fish-getter’s ever designed. Un-excelled for Bass, Pike, Lake Trout, Muskies, Speckled Sea Trout and a great many other fresh and salt water species. No idle boast is this because prior to its official announcement, it was tested and proven in every state and many Canadian waters.
