The Shakespeare Tantalizer Jr Lure was first introduced in 1940. The Shakespeare Bait Company From Kalamazoo, Michigan assigned it, Model series number 6638. This antique fishing lure is wooden, only ever came with painted pressed eyes and measures in at 3 5/8″ inches in length. This is the smaller brother to the full size version and is a lot harder to find. The lure continues with the wooden fish shaped tail and sloped fore head indicative to the tantalizer antique lure line up.The lure has a marked lip that is held on by the front line tie. The lure has a bottom painted metal keel and two treble hooks to secure its catch when caught. This antique fishing lure was available in a half dozen or less colors through it time in the lure line up.
