Shakespeare 1756 Surf Tournament Model 32

The beuty of a reel is a Shakespeare 1756 Surf Tournament Model 32. This is a Very Very Hard to Find reel. This is a special reel and was made with a special purpose.

Taken from Reel Talk: This extra capacity tournament reel has been designed by Shakespeare to combine the ideas of several world’s champion surf casters into one harmonious, perfect free spool reel. The Surf Tournament reel is constructed throughout in the latest, and most scientific manner to insure extreme lightness, and great strength. Head and tail rings are laminated with discs of black Burlite, and six full pillars, all placed at or below the center of the reel, provide maximum rigidity with absolute freedom of movement. The large spool is of light weight aluminum alloy metal, and provided with a half-inch cork arbor to give correct yardage on the spool without the use of filler line. The Surf Tournament uses the simple, trouble-free Shakespeare free spool mechanism, and is in all respects a championship reel of the finest design and construction that will make thousands of winning casts in a lifetime of the most exacting tournament work.

Length of pillars: 2 3/8 inches
Diameter of spool: 1 3/4 inches
Capacity: Holds easily 600 ft. of 6 thread tournament casting line with room to spare
