Pflueger Pakron Minnow Lure

The Pflueger Pakron Minnow Lure was first introduced around 1930. The Pflueger Lure company of Akron Ohio gave it model number 7000. This smallish lure has always been one of my favorite lures as it combines two of my favorite wooden lure features, a wooden tail and the use of no n traditional belly weights. The antique lure itself measures roughly 2 1/2″ to 2 3/4″ in length. The lure features glass eyes and a forward line tie at the front of the nose. The wooden lure features a fish shaped wooden tail and in btween the rear fin exits a reinforced tumbler or cup that the rear treble hook connects. The front hook is centered midway on the body of the lure and is secured by a surface type hardware. Looking at the Pakron the obvious difference in the lure is it uses haldf the head of the lre to make it dive deep and feast instead of a traditional belly weight.
