Heddon Tiny River Runt Spook Lure
The Heddon Tiny River Runt Spook Lure was first introduced in 1953. This lure made by Heddon of Dowagiac Michigan was given a model series number 350. This Plastic spook lure was made in the likeness of all the previous runt spooks yet just made smaller. The antique fishing lure was made of the later more stable version of plastic, thus adhering to it’s “spook” roots. The lure had two smaller treble hooks both attached via bell rig hardware. The lure was stenciled or labeled on its belly Heddon Tiny Runt.
The lure can be found in a vast array of colors both cataloged and uncatalogued making it a joy to collect. The lure shown below is in one of those uncatalogued finishes Crystal Shad, or CS, and a Green Crawdad GRA. The lure would have come houses in the red bottom two piece plastic topped box marked 350Cs.
