Heddon Salt Water Torpedo Lure
The Heddon Salt Water Torpedo Lure was first introduced in 1946 and was produced until 1956. The lure was assigned a model series number 30 by Heddon of Dowagiac Michigan and is stamped by its maker on its underside. This salt water version of very popular standard version was a great fish catcher for many briny fishermen.
The lure was made of wood, can be found in both glass and painted eyes however, was void of any props its brethren had. The lure weighed roughly 7/8 oz and had a belly weight as a standard. The antique lure employed 3 trebles as a standard and used the surface rigging for its attachment to the body. Despite its popularity and fish catching prowess the saltwater lure can only be found in a few colors.
