Heddon Bottle Nose Tadpolly Lure

The Heddon Bottle Nose Tadpolly Lure is a really cool rendition of what the Tadpolly lure would become. The lure itself was marketed by the Diamond Submarine Bait Company out of St. Louis Missouri. The lure is a true Heddon made lure but it was called the Diamond Submarine Lure and is circa 1918. The lure was gone before the Tadpolly appears, but one can certainly tell the subtle similarities. Heddon would flatten out the end with the line tie and add a plate and give the front end a set of eyes. It would also change the hook hardware to L Rig from the inset cup.

The lure has a single line tie on the center top portion of the lure that is the slimmest. The lure feature two treble hooks attached via cup rig hardware. You will find the lure around in a few different colors such as the bar perch shown and red and white.
