Creek Chub Sucker

Creek Chub Sucker

The Creek Chub Sucker, Model 3900, was one of the shortest lived antique fishing lures made by CCBC. This wooden, glass eyed fishing lure was first introduced in the 1932 Creek Chub Lure Catalog and was only made for a single year and was discontinued by 1933. This classic bait is 3 1/2″ in length and tips the scales at 3/4oz. Having a very distinguishable corrugated metal diving lip makes the Sucker very identifiable for antique lure collectors. The lure uses cup rig with a screw eye hanger with three trebles to secure its catch. There weren’t many choices made by Creek Chub as far as colors, the fishing lure was available in color code Y; Yellow Sucker, and B; Black Sucker.

We have a nice Sucker in on Consignment this week, click below to view.
