Creek Chub Pop It Lure

The Creek Chub Pop It Lure was first introduced in 1927. This Fly made by the Creek Chub Bait Company of Garrett, Indiana was made for almost a half of a century coming in just shy at 47 years. That is quite a run for any lure made by any of the big manufactures and it shows the success it had among fly fisherman.

The fly itself was a simple cork bodied fly which used buck tail and mallard feathers in its making. The lure in total measures 3 1/4″ in length. The Pop It lure was only ever made in three colors.

Made with a Cork Body; No 1 Hollow Point Hook, Bucktail and Mallard Feathers. Feathers and Bucktail Permanently attached to the body without the use of thread guaranteed to stick tighter than if thread tied. Here is a lure which we guarantee to get the bass when pulled so as to make the bait go pop-pop on the surface. The reason it is such a killer is, that though it is a very small and light lure, when jerked it makes a big fuss on the surface, which the bass cant resist. When pulled fast it has a wiggling movement like a minnow hustling for his life. Total length; 3 1/4 Inches.
