Creek Chub Midget Plunker Lure
The Creek Chub Midget Plunker Lure was born in Garrett, Indiana. The Creek Chub Bait Company was looking to capitalize on its widely successful Plunker Lure line up. The midget plunker, made of wooden measuring 2 1/4″ would be the second to smallest in the line and the smallest wooden variant. This little brother would mimic in shape, style and popping top water style fishing as the regular Plunker. Creek Chub would assign to it a model series 5900.
The lure would come in roughly 14 different standard palate of colors. Many examples of uncatalogued colors can be found as well. A neat side note is written that this midget Plunker can be found in the Creek Chub Bait Company Catalog for 4 years, 1950-54 although it was produced for more than 30.
