Bronson Comet 2400 Fishing Reel
This Bronson Comet 2400 Fishing Reel is an earlier model of Comet as it exhibits the “Sea Green” handles instead of white. The reel is in very nice and unlikely to be upgraded condition. The box is period correct and strong and dates to roughly 1941.
Bronson trade reels that were made for numerous retailers, wholesalers and jobbers across the country, from the mid 1920’s until the late 1960’s. These will be marked with the retailers name or with a model name sold by them, rather than marked with the Bronson name John has spent decades amassing one of the largest line collections. The vast array of line spools and cards he has in his collection is historically significant as John has spent decades not only collecting, but rather researching these companies adding provenance to these pieces.

An entirely new all metal, level winding, 3 piece take-down, full quadruple multiplying reel. Chromium plated throughout. Equiped with Duo-Pawl, adjustable click, balanced S Shaped crank handle with green bakleite gris. A well built reel thoughout. 200 yards wt 7 ozs.
