Shakespeare Kazoo Wobbler Lure
The Shakespeare Kazoo Wobbler Lure is seen first around 1928. This wooden, glass eyed, antique lure is Shakespeare’s series number 6637. This Kalamazoo Michigan lure is 4″ in length and features a curved or slanted face. The lure has two belly hooks one off center and the other trailing from the aft section of the bait. The lure here is shown with the correct antique lure box and hang tag marked 6637 RW, Red and White. Also of importance is you’ll note the rear ball hanger type hardware making this one of the first versions before the switched to using just a screw eye. The front mouth holds the diving plane and the front line tie which acts as an anchor as well as a line tie. The lure was available in the standard 1930’s type finishes including the collector favorite photo finishes.
