Pflueger Redifor Bait Casting Reel
This Pflueger Redifor Bait Casting Reel is for a 100 year old, and dates to the mid teens. Made by the Enterprise Manufacturing Company, Pflueger, in Akron Ohio. This great example of an antique fishing reel is made of a German Silver with smooth tops and adorn with jeweled end caps. The affixed free spinning handle in line with tradition made of the customary bake-lite. The antique reel has no stamp on its foot to tell us of its yard capacity, but I would estimate a 60 yard. There was more than one model offered this year, the example shown has the desirable Jeweled End Caps option. The reel spins freely and is in nice condition. There is quite a bit of speculation as to the history of why Redifor, from Warren Ohio would license and or allow Pflueger to put their name on the reel. Whatever the truth may be they made a great reel and allowed and used the Pflueger channels to distribute a top notch bat caster.
