Pflueger Ballerina Antique Lure
The Pflueger Ballerina Antique Lure was introduced around 1952. This wooden pressed and painted eye lure was Pflueger of Akron, Ohio model series number 5400. This wooden tapering cigar shaped fishing lure has a front forward line tie. The lure itself measure 4 1/8″ in length from tip to toe and has a belly weight between the surface hardware and rear hook. There are two treble hooks the lure has to secure its catch. The forward most treble hook uses the surface type hardware to keep the hook in place, and the rear uses the traditional eye screw.
The Pflueger Ballerina lure was offered in a myriad of different colors. The example shown in the below antique fishing lure photo gallery is a collector favorite, scramble finish. The color code should you be trying to match the lure with the correct box is color code 39, so, its box would be marked 5439.
