Paw Paw Crazy Mike Lure
The Paw Paw Crazy Mike Lure sounds like a name given to everyone favorite uncle. While it may not be a part of our own lineage the Crazy Mike lure is part of the Flap Jack Family series of lures released in the early 1940’s. This antique fishing lure is 3 1/2″ inches in length and made of a transparent type plastic.
So the lure collector walks in the bar and says, “Hey Bartender, Which one in here is Crazy Mike?” Bartender looks around and says, “Hes the one over there, the one with the two hookers!” Sorry for my bad joke of the day.
The lure was Paw Paw Bait Company of Michigan’s model series number 3300. The lure has two treble hooks, one mid section held on with surface type hardware, the other place on the aft of the lure. The antique lure has a line tie on the front portion of the lure. The Transparent Crazy Mike is housed in two piece plastic slide top box. Besides the Yellow Scale shown the lure was available in the following colors:
