Muk-Choc-Ko-Frog Antique Lure
The Muk-Choc-Ko-Frog Antique Lure has always garnered the eye of lots of collectors. Shown below is a group lot or set of 5 Muk-Choc-Ko-Frog antique lures. The lures were a series of wooden, frog shaped, painted eye, weedless lineup made by the Hub Bait Company of Beaverdam, Wisconsin. The lure could be purchased in a variety of Spotted Colors, and either with a single upturned hook or a trailing treble to secure its catch.
These vintage fishing lures date to the mid 1940’s, however the company itself dates back to 1937 when established by Irv Hubbard. The company would last over 3 decades until it closed its doors in 1969. The Hub Bait Company not only made wooden lures, but had a line of metal big game muskie & pike spinners & spoons and even sold their own branded line dressing.
