Moonlight Bass Seeker Lure
The Moonlight Bass Seeker Lure rights were purchased from Wilson Circa mid-1920s. The Moonlight Bait and Novelty Works Company made some significant acquisitions during this decade to increase their antique fishing lure line up. The Bass Seeker was taken from the Cupped Wobbler and has the distinctive rolled or cupped grooved head or face. This wooden minnow measures 4″ in length and weighs in at 3/4 oz. It features 3 trebles hooks, 2 of which are secured to the body with the traditional Moonight Cup rig, the trailing secured by simple screw eye.

Later a metallic (or covered in flitter) finish minnow would be introduced to the lineup, adding another 4 standard cataloged colors. PLease noe there are other colors and uncataloged colors to find, such as rainbow, and white. One of the examples shown below is a 2603 MET which is Perch with metallic finish. They would use the corresponding number then at the MET to it.

Bass Seeker 2600 Series
As a fish catcher the Bass Seeker probably surpasses all other baits of this type, the cupped head and link line connection gives it an erratic and fish like action, not found in any other lure. The success of the Bass Seeker has created a demand for a smaller size with two treble hooks the 2700 Series described and illustra ted on
opposite page.
