Lucid Lure Antique Plastic Minnow Tube
The Lucid Lure Antique Plastic Minnow Tube was first introduced in the early 1940’s. This plastic or acrylic fishing appliance falls under the minnow tube category. For a half a century people tried to entomb their fry, minnows and fingerlings. The lucid Lure attempted to do this in the 1940s in this 4 1/4″ 2T (Treble) device. The Lucid Lure was originally made by the Sportsman Specialty Company at 42 Ionia Ave in Grand Rapids Michigan. This plastic tomb consisted of two separate halves of mirrored plastic connected via brass hinge which has 3 intake and 2 outflow holes to attempt to keep alive its minnow. Shown is its correct corresponding box and lure paperwork.
