KK Animated Minnow Antique Lure
This is a scarce and very desirable K&K Minnow, made in Toledo, Ohio. This jointed, 2 piece, wooden, yellow egg yolk glass eyed minnow is a collector favorite. The lure has two segments held together via nested screw eye. The lure employs the use of 3 dual hooks held to the body with pins. The wooden part of the lure measures 3″ in length not counting the aluminum tail.

King of Casting Bait
The K & K Mfg Co Toledo Ohio offering the trade the King of Bait illustrated. This is a surface that swims only about three inches under water and the makers claim that there is little danger of losing it for the reason when snagged you can go back and pick it up and it will be found either on the surface or few inches under. It can be used for deep fishing or trolling by putting a sinker on line the same as is done with live bait company make a number of other Minnows, all of which swim with the easy darting motion that is observed in shiner. The motion is deceptive to large small mouth bass pike sea bass or muscalonge. It is immaterial how one casts the K & K it rights itself instantly just as a minnow does when it is cast in the water.
This Bait may fall on its side back tail head and quick as a flash assumes a swimming attitude and the tail begins to move precisely as does the tail of a live shiner and it remains in a horizontal attitude. Another feature that will appeal to the fisherman is the direct pull that is obtained when one gets a strike, The Minnow pulls away from the hook. Thus a good direct pull is obtained and there is no unsportsmanlike device to prevent the bass from making a good game struggle. The jointed sections are made especially to obviate the possibility of rust or decay and the animation is produced by the Minnow being jointed or flexible together with the proper adjustment of weights combined with the position of the line fastening. It contains no mechanism inside to get out of order.
The coloring’s are fast and will resist the action of the water for an indefinite period and the hooks do not mar or scratch the Minnow. The Minnows arc decorated they are an exact reproduction of a deep water shiner with the dark green golden back shading down to a gold and silvered gold on the belly Pure gold is used and is claimed to be the most artistic and expensive decoration ever used on similar articles. The blending of the colors with the scale effect is a secret .The Bait illustrated is 4M inches long and has three double hooks. With a capacity of turning out 1,200 Minnows per day the concern has not been able to keep up with the demand. The output will soon be increased to 1500 per day in order to promptly take care of all orders. They have some splendid testimonials as to the efficiency of their Baits.
