Keller Gets Em Lure
The Keller Gets Em Lure was first introduced in 1916. Made in Rochester, Indiana this antique fishing lure is just cresting the century old mark. This colorful wooden, antique fishing lure measures in at 3 1/4″ in length. This vintage minnow came in a painted eye and no eye version. The lure has three treble hooks to secure its catch and uses a screw in type hardware. Probably my favorite part of this antique fishing lure is its use of the external belly weight.
Often misidentified and similar to the Meyers & Spellman minnow lures from Shelby Michigan. One of the easiest ways to tell is the shape of the prop. The Keller with come with Keller stenciled on the backbone of the lure. The fishing lure uses two elongated rectangle or square with its tip bent upwards propellers on the for and aft of the antique lure. The lure can be found in a few different color variations of the swirl or sash type color scheme.
