Joe Bob Crippled Critter Crawfish Lure
The Joe Bob Crippled Critter Crawfish Lure was introduced around 1947. This antique fishing lure was made by the Joe Bob Manufacturing Company, out of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The lure itself has been found in a few different variations. This unit is 4 1/8″ in length and is a multi segmented plastic body with the side feelers broken off. There has also been a smaller single body section version found. The lure has two sets of treble hooks on the antique fishing lure. The lure has been found with black eyes as well as the red beaded eyes shown in the example below in the gallery.
The lure is shown in its correct Yellow antique lure box marked Crippled Critter Patent Pending. The side of the box is marked white, so while I assume its incorrect and is for a white crawdad this was the lure that was found with the box. I have seen a couple variations of the actual box as well.
