Heddon Tadpolly Runt Lure
The Heddon Tadpolly Runt Lure was a short run lure by most standards and was first introduced around 1938. The antique lure was gone by about 1941. The model number Heddon of Dowagiac Michigan assigned to it was the Model Number 5100. This wooden fishing lure measure 3″ in length, and had the same appearance as the 5000 series just in smaller form. The antique fishing lure had glass eyes, two treble hooks and used two piece flap rig hardware.
The lure has the same scripted plate “Heddon’s Dowagiac” as its bigger brothers. The lure was stamped or stenciled on the belly of the lure Heddon Tadpolly Runt. The lure was available in roughly 10 different colors, however they are quite scarce to find in any color. The Tadpolly Runt fishing lure would have come housed in a HR Brush box.
