Heddon Scissortail Fishing Lure
The Heddon Scissortail Fishing Lure Model 9830 derives its function from its namesake. The lure was created by Heddon of Dowagiac Michigan in 1952 and only lasted for 4 years and was gone from catalogs by 1956. This antique lure is made of plastic (Tenite) in the shape of a snake or eel on the and on the rear the tail is split horizontal and the two pieces are affixed to act in a scissor type fashion. It was said that its motion and vibrations were irresistible to game fish, however its longevity speak more to how well that panned out.
We have a nice Scissortail in on consignment this week available by clicking below.

Meet The Amazing New Scissor Tail
This is an entirely new patented principle in bait actions. The tail surfaces “scissor” across each other as the bait wiggles, and since each of them has a special flashing finish, they attract fish either from above or below. All in one lure you have the flash of a spoon, the flutter of a spinner and the enticing wiggle of a bait. Just the thing to put new life in some of those dead spots you have been fishing.
Have one of these in an old tackle box. Thanks for the info.
