Heddon Bucktail Surface Minnow Lure 400
The Heddon Bucktail Surface Minnow Lure 400 is a tough little lure to find. The lure is larger in girth than say a Heddon Artistic Minnow Lure. The lure a Heddon of Dowagiac Michigan series 400 was made in 1908 and disappeared around 1909. The glass eyed, antique lure is comprised of wood and measures in at 2 1/2″ in length. This antique lure features a single forward rotating propeller, and two treble hooks. One treble hook being attached with cup rig hardware the other using a inserted looped pin screwed into the rear of the lure. The lure features a single belly weight just to the rear of the cup hook rigging.
This Heddon Surface Minnow lure had been found in a few colors, Yellow with a Sienna Skull Cap, White with a Blue Skull Cap, and Rainbow. The rear treble has been found in both a dressed feather and a stacked deer hair.
