Froglegs Fishing Lure
The Froglegs Fishing Lure was first introduced in 1940. This classic antique fishing lure was made by the Modern Sporting Goods Company of Austin, Texas. This fly eater was first made out of wood and would later transition to plastic after the company itself would change names as well. The lure measures 2 1/4″ in length has a wooden body, painted eyes and a single treble hook affixed to the belly. The lure is sown with the earliest version box with the fish eyeing the frog itself on the lily pad.

The company would change its name in 1947 to the Jensen Distributing Company and would relocated to Waco, Texas. It would also change the lure composition to plastic. The company would offer the lure in 4 different colors.
