Dickens Weedless Wonder Lure
The Dickens Weedless Wonder lure first emerged roughly around 1920. The Dickens Bait Company was located in Ft. Wayne Indiana. The lure came in its own labeled “Weedless Wonder” patent applied for two piece cardboard box as shown, marked 63 on the ends. The box described itself as being “A surface bait for fishing over weeds, lily pads, splatter docks and rushes”. A Game Fish Getter, the lure has cut out notches a single forward line tie and has a upturned dressed fly single hook. Overall this antique lure measures in at 1 3/4″ inches in length.
