Creek Chub Big Creek Bug Wiggler Lure
The Creek Chub Big Creek Bug Wiggler Lure was the largest in the Bug Wiggler antique Lure line up. Very rare and hard to find now by collectors it was only made for 8 years between 1924-32. The antique lure was given a model 1400 by the Creek Chub Bait Company of Garrett Indiana. This wooden painted eye fishing lure measures 2 1/2″ in length and weighs in at 1/2 ounce. The lure has a single forward line tie mounted at the top of the face/head of the lure. The lure has a single belly attached double hook to secure its prey. At the rear of the lure you’ll find a few pieces of red yarn adding a bit of color to catch the fish and fisherman.

The Big Bug Wiggler was fashioned in the appearance of a typical Grasshopper. The lure itself was offered in only three colors.

The Big Bug Wiggler
N. 1400 Series
The biggest old bass has never seen such a lively lifelike bug, and when he gets his eye on it it’s all off with him. The big, strong, reversible hooks stand out from the body as the bait goes through the water wiggling and darting about and we guarantee that they will get all the fair strikes. The double hooks can be reversed by one-half turn of screw-eye and bait is then very weedless and nearly as effective in hooking the fish. Length of body, 2 1/2″. Weight, about 1/2oz.
