Bagley Colors

This Bagley Colors Page is a test of sorts. As most of you know I cover loads of material on this website, Lures, Reels, Rods, Catalogs, the Companies who made them, the companies who sold them, even things that have nothing to do with fishing. I say a test, as its the first one of all the big makers I’ve decided to assemble. I have hundreds of thousands of digital photos I’ve amassed of lures over the last 3 decades. Heddon, Bagley, Creek Chub, Shakespeare, Pflueger, companies both large and small I’ve tried to capture picture’s. I have a external hard drive that would keep most antique lure collectors busy for a year looking through everything. Regrettably from the beginning of saving these pictures, I had no intention of doing anything like this when I first started, so all my pics had little to no organization. I’ve spent the last few years starting to go through these and assemble them into a framework by which to create something useable for you and me.

We have some great Bagley Lures in on Consignment, please click below to view.

Bagley Bait Company

The Bagley Colors Page is the first of a few color pages I will put together to help collectors with colors. Many of the colors can be seen throughout the Bagley Catalogs and master color charts provided within them. This page or site is not a end all be all of Bagley Bait Company Lure color page. If you want that, please use google, as there are others that only deal with Bagley Lures and their Colors and provide more of an expansive assembly of things like non cataloged colors.  Making a page that contain them all is an awfully big rabbit hole to dive down, as there are over 500 combinations. That’s not the intent of my website, my sites intent is to cover a myriad of Antique Fishing Tackle makers.

This section will just be a general guide, or 50,000 foot overview of some of the colors, and color codes I’ve run across. These are both standard and uncatalogued colors that you may run across in you antique fishing lure collecting journey. This section or page will start out small, with a dozen or two, and then when you visit again there will be another a dozen or two, etc., etc.. I’m not going to wait to build it out before I publish it, or my adult ADD just have me working on a better mouse trap.

Below you’ll see the Bagley Color Code, Followed by a short description of the color itself. These will be in numerical order, followed by alphabetical. There are a few ways to utilize the colors codes and charts below. First of all if you know the Bagley Lure color code, you can click the color code listed and a photo of the lure will pop up, or, conversely you can just scroll down through the antique photo lure gallery below and identify yours by the picture, and click it to see the color code in the description the come up with it. Hopefully you will find this guide useful in your attempt to learn more about what you have or the Bagley Bait Company.
