Rev O Noc Underwater Minnow Lure

The Rev O Noc Underwater Minnow Lure dates to the mid and early teens. Like the Shakespeare lure shown in side the “New Winner” wood box, this is a South Bend 3 Hook underwater minnow lure of dual purpose.

The Rev-O-Noc name was used as a trade name by the Hibbard Spencer and Bartlett Company. Taking the name and rearranging the letters we come up with Conover. Charles Conover was a Vice President of the HSBC company. This name did not just apply to fishing lures, but to reels, guns, knives and much much more under the HSBC company. Inside we see a beautiful 3 Hook single belly weight underwater minnow painted in green crackle back. This glass eyes beauty is in truth a series 903 made by the South Bend Bait Company of Indiana. The example is sold with a wood slide top box with paper labels affixed on the end caps.
