Moonlight Zig Zag Lure

The Moonlight Zig Zag lure was first introduced around 1913. This early simple top water antique lure made by the Moonlight Bait Company of Paw Paw Michigan was given a model Number Six. This wooden fishing lure with its front sloped face holds the forward line tie. The lure has three treble hooks to secure its catch, two held to the mid section with a washer or faceted screw eye type hardware. The rear treble attached to the end of the lure via a screw eye. The Zig Zag was available in a series of crudely painted colors, and wasn’t your typical end product fisherman were used to seeing. Thus it wasnt long lived in the Moonlight Antique lure line up.
